Pros
- Impressive battery life
- Stylish and compact aluminum design
- Impressive performance
- It comes with a 1080p display that is bright and vivid
- Delivers value for money spent
Cons
- Missing IR camera
- No intel CPU means no Thunderbolt 3
- Quite thicker and heavier than rivals

Streamlined and simple design
With the HP Envy x360 convertible laptop, HP aimed to deliver a laptop with a minimalist design, and guess what; they nailed it right out of the pack.
Uniquely designed from aluminum, the outside of the HP Envy x360 review Ryzen 7 is clean and subtle.
We love the fact that the lid can be easily lifted. Not just that, the display also doesn’t spot much of a bezel around it, including the bottom. This makes it relatively smaller than the 2019 model. That said, this modification kind of shifts the keyboard and touchpad up a bit, with the keyboard fitted nearly edge to edge.
Did we forget to add in our HP Envy x360 review i7 that the laptop features a comfy keyboard with two levels of backlight? Oh yes, this makes it easy to use even in the dark.
Besides its highly responsive fingerprint reader that is nearly hidden and sitting between the left arrow key and the Alt key, the biggest highlight of this laptop is its glossy display.
While this device boasts excellent color and contrast, its 400 nits spec ensures it is also bright. Yes, it may not be bright enough to see past reflections outside, especially on a sunny day, but guess what, it isn’t so bad either.
Thanks to its reduced bezels, you’ll enjoy a comfortable experience when using it as a tablet. And to top it off, we love the fact that the device supports simultaneous pen and touch inputs. Let’s also add that it is compatible with MPP 2.0 pens.

Pricing and availability
One thing people always look out for when shopping for a new laptop is the pricing and availability and, in our HP convertible envy x360 review, we bring you everything you need to know about pricing and availability.
To start with, the Envy x360 review Ryzen 5 comes in several 15-inch versions. But in our HP Envy x360 review Reddit, we will focus on the 13-inch models. That said, the Envy X360 13, which features an AMD Ryzen 3 4300U CPU, a 128GB SSD, and 8GB of RAM, goes for $649.
On the flip side, the Envy x360 with Ryzen 5 4500U, 256GB SDD, and 8GB start at $799. But if you think you have an extra $150 to splash, you can go for the high-end version with AMD Ryzen 7 4700U CPU, 256GB of SSD, and 16GB of RAM.
HP Envy x360 battery life
When it comes to battery life, the Envy x360 delivers above expectations, and in our HP Envy x360 review CNET, we bring you up to speed with everything you need to know about the battery life of this monster device.
Just to give you a glimpse, the Envy x360 13 is built to last a whole workday without needing an extra charge.
From our battery test, we discovered that the Envy X360 13 was able to last an impressive 11 hours and 52 minutes while surfing the internet. This is pretty decent, especially when compared to other laptops in this category.
HP Envy x360 graphics
While our laptop HP Envy x360 review 2020 reveals that it is missing the famous discrete chips, its integrated Radeon Graphics ensures that you’re aren’t missing much.
Gaming on this device is exciting as we discovered that the Envy x360 was able to play Dirt 3 at a flawless 78 frames per second, even though we set graphics to 1080p on Very High.
Although we encountered some problems when playing Swift 3, the new Tiger lake chips with Xe graphics promises to change everything. And it is only a matter of time before we start seeing this new chip in future Envy X360 devices.

HP Envy x360 audio
The dual speakers fitted right at the bottom of the Envy X360 performance quite impressively. Though it has the same sonic shortcomings, just like the Spectre 360, we still like the fact that it doesn’t disappoint. It would be cool if HP fixed the shrill that happens when playing treble-heavy songs.
HP Envy x360 13 display
Thanks to its impressive display, the HP Envy x360 13 will give other laptops in this category a run for their money. Our HP Envy x360 review Reddit reveals that the Envy X360 13’s 13.3-inch debuts a 1080p display that is sharp and bright. Plus, the color and contrast are topnotch.

HP Envy x360 available ports
